Nice. Unique.I love this tie & how shiny it is. It's a brilliant blue, almost iridescent, stamped on a black background. The picture makes it look like white is worked through the tie but it isn't. The photo was either enhanced to show detail or it caught the light. It makes it easier to see the swirled floral design.It's polyester & polyurethane & can be gently hand-washed. It's a good length at a little more than 58-inches. On the underside of the wider part, which is 3-inches, is a piece of fabric for tucking in the tail of the other end of the tie. That holds it securely. However, this one has a problem with the stitching. It isn't secure & one side has a couple of stitches holding it & the other side is almost completely off. If a man wears a tie tack, that probably won't be much of a problem but I think the tie tack would damage the fabric by leaving a hole. It isn't the best quality of tie based on the fabric but I still think it's great. I deducted one star because the stitching is barely holding on & it is a necessary part of the tie.My husband wears ties at least once a week & I thought this one might be a little dressier than what he'd wear to the office or to church. He has no problem wearing it with a black shirt & dress slacks for church. I do think it's a bit much for work but for an evening when he's on a business trip, it would be fine.It arrived in a sturdy navy blue & black gift box & I was holding on to it for his birthday in August but couldn't wait to give it to him! I'm glad he likes it as much as I do.So, prior to coronavirus moving me into a work-from-home scenario, I wore a tie each day to work. I still have to wear a tie on a regular basis as I spend much of my time on meetings through multiple online video conference products. So, I'm always on the look for a great tie! When I grabbed this rather instinctively I didn't really understand exactly the kind of formal tie this was. If you take some time looking at the photos offered in the product description you'll understand that it has a a bit of a "bling" appearance to it, and certainly is not suited for a more formal work environment (in my opinion). I would think this tie is more suited to cocktail hour, evening dinnerware, and so forth. Obviously a great choice for a wedding and other similar occasions. Not your traditional formal work attire type of tie which is the primary type of reason I wear a tie.That said, it is a quality product, in a quality presentation box, and would make a great gift to anyone who has need of an evening tie. I do recommend this but would suggest it is not in all occasions type of fashion statement!I wish this tie was longer. IT is such great concept with the pseudo velvet look, and sheerness of the metallic looking design. But it just is too short, and it makes the tie seem less legitimate. I would recommend for someone of a height between 5'2" and 5'4" but any taller and this tie will look like a kid's tie.
